I have a Hauppage TV card that wont work with Windows 7

I have tried all of the manufactures software and it just won't work. At one time I tried a demo od Sage. It worked greate. But I did not purchase a copy. Has anyone been able to make Hauppage WinTV-HVR-2250 work on Windows 7? If not is there a card that will work with Windows 7 64 bit?

Did you install the drivers for the hardware and reboot the computer as if it's not working with any of the manufacturers software then I would check to make sure you installed the latest video drivers for that card. if that fails , make sure the card is properly seated correctly in the computer. Also make sure you have the antenna coaxial cable running to the proper connection.

It does not work could mean a lot of things. I am assuming you mean you put the card in your computer and it is not being detected that is why I suggested the above.

It would really help being more descriptive in what you did when you got the card and explain how exactly it is not working. I used the 2250 on a windows 7 64 bit machine with no problem.

I would check to make sure your using either just the digital tuning of the 2250 tuners or the analog tuning of the 2250 tuners and not both as trying to use it both ways tends to be peoples biggest downfall.

To get better help if none of the above fixes the problem you'll have to write exactly how it does not work and what you did to try and fix the problem as well as what you did after installing the card. Meaning did you install the drivers. Did you try installing the WinTV program that comes with the card and seeing if that shows any channels. Also did you scan for new channels with wintv, etc, etc.

Sounds like you want to use the WinTV app that Hauppauge includes with the card - correct? I use Win7 x64 ultimate with HVR-2250 and SageTV all the time on one of my SageTV servers.

I did not get your resonse till today. I posted all over the net. At one time it worked fine. I have uninstalled using Windows and a program called Revo Uninstaller. Then re installed. It works for about 7 seconds then it freezes. I was hoping there was a Sage driver that may work. On my last message I did not see the email imediate resonse.
