PVR 250 Remote wont work
I had to do some switching around with computers, and had to move my setup into a different computer, one that i had first installed my hardware into when i first got it.
for some strange reason, the remote wont work at all. not in Sage or in WinTV. Should the IR port be listed somewhere in the device manager? Should it be under ports? The only thing I can think that could be causing a problem is the fact that I now have a USB Bluetooth adapter installed to sync with my phone. with that comes a ton of virtual com ports, something like com4 through com15 or so. Any thoughts? ~z |

Your remote is working off the port in the PVR. I don't think that it is a serial port. I have to ask this, you did install the infra red software for Happauge? And you did tell Sage when you did the install that you want to use the remote? And you do have the IR software runninng when you are testing this? And you do have the IR detector pointing the correct way? (No offense)

no offense taken.
but yes to all. i had it working before. all i can think is that there could be some sort of conflict. i get no response from the remote at all. yes, there are batteries in it too. ~z |
