Ubuntu 10.4 sage doesn't see one nova-t-500 tuner

Hello all,
I've been searching for an answer but can't find it. I've re-installed, tried various things but no avail. Can someone point me in the right direction or at least just tell me once and for all sage doesn't work with the nova-t-500?
My problem is this: I have installed ubuntu server 10.4 and sage. dmesg says the nova-t firmware loads, and both adapter 0 frontend 0 and adapter 1 frontend 0 are registered ok.
When I go through the sage set up all it sees is Digital DiBcom 3000MC/P 2-1 Digital TV Tuner, there is no second tuner.
I can select, do a channel scan and the one tuner records fine.

I have taken the card out, re-installed etc even re-installed linux and sage but exactly the same results. Can anyone help?

If it doesn't work, can anyone recommend a dual T tuner that works with linux/sage, is terratec safe as far as linux/sage?

Thanks for your help.

So, almost a hundred views and no reply. I take it I'm on my own.

Seems Sage was a waste of money, I hope Google make a better go of it.

From memory, those devices were originally a bit problematic under Linux... Can you successfully scan both tuners using the scan or w_scan utilities?

In the V4L-DVB wiki for your device (http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Ha...nTV-NOVA-T-500) There is also a reference there in regard to only seeing one tuner and a possible workaround..

If that workaround doesn't work, you could also try and pull the latest driver from the v4l-dvb tree and build it to see if it makes any difference.

Cheers

Peter

This is a community support forum, not official channels. Have you tried submitting a ticket? FWIW - you're using a tuner that isn't needed/supported for US TV, thus many of the Linux users here aren't going to have the working knowledge on it.

You can always try to update the drivers by compiling them yourself. If you need help with that, shout out.
