MCE2XML Alternative to DigiGuide

My Digiguide subscription comes to an end in 4 days; it has worked flawlessly for EPG in conjunction with Stephanes importer this past year.

Before I renew, I have found MCE2XML which uses the Windows Media Center EPG data (which I know is excellent and from Zap2It if I remember rightly). Has anybody successfully switched to this EPG metadata source in the UK and if you have:

1) Is it stabile?
2) I assume its free?
3) Do you have to be running SageTV on Windows 7?
4) Is it much of a change in configuration from Digiguide?

Cheers

Did you miss the offer in January? I got 2 years Digiguide for £4.99. Probably should have posted the offer here, eh?

Digiguide data is far more reliable & detailed than MCE (which comes from BDS). They are much more responsive to fixing errors to. It really is worth paying for.

Make sure you have the promotional emails enabled on your profile, then you should get these special offers.

Part of my EPG was gone , and I realised mc2xml was not working anymore.

Fortunately, there is a new version out :
