Hauppuge 950Q Issues

Hi All:

I'm new to SageTV and this is my first post here. If somebody already posted an answer to this, a point in the direction of that thread would be appreciated.

I'm trying to use SageTV (and placeshifter) with my Hauppauge 950Q card. For the record, on a Dell laptop running Windows 7. I know the 950Q works because it runs properly using WinTV 7.

As I go through the installation process, I am asked to choose between the various input options. When I choose digital, I get the error message: (-3, 0x80070043) Problem accessing the filesystem for capture.

The set up then continues. If I try to scan for channels, it doesn't find any. If I skip that setting the playback test doesn't work and gives me the same error message.

Choosing analog continues through the process, but also finds no channels. If I still choose to finish the installation, when I try to watch TV I keep getting the error code (-3, 0x80070043) and the info message "Capture Device Failure when starting recording"

Any thoughts?

Hi Kevin - New here too and having the same problem, WinTV 7 running as a type - would love to use Sage with the 950Q - will let you know if I figure it out!

i updated to windows 7 and latest dage. keep getting a playback error and cant get Sage to work with the 950q. So frustrating because it used to. any luck??
