HVR-950Q causes BSOD

I really like this tuner, it picks up the most digital stations out of all my HD tuners but it causes BSOD when I preview in channel setup after a min or two (scanning works fine) also when trying to record or watch it does not actually record anything. I am using the latest drivers in Vista (ver 1.85.26190). Initially it worked fine and only last night I noticed this behavior.
Thanks for any ideas.
Mariusz

My 950Q sometimes de-initializes

From time to time - & it seems to be getting more frequent, my 950Q has trouble recording. Symptoms: attempts are made, but all I get is several 0-byte files. It also gets quite warm. I can fix it by rebooting or disconnecting & reconnecting the device, but since the dropouts are unpredictable, it's causing me to lose recordings. Today, we had some thunderstorms in the afternoon, so powered down the pc for a few hours. On power-up I even made sure signal was being recognized by checking the tuner setup. At 6:30pm or so it was fine. At 8pm, when it was supposed to record, nothing. The fixes work by reinitializing the stick; is there any way to get Sage to force a reinit, or should I take this up with Hauppauge as a hardware problem?
