Partial recording favorites

I had a movie with low Priority recording from 7:00 - 9pm.... There was a favorite with higher priority that started recording from 7:30 to 8:00 PM.

The movie was split into 2 parts with the 7:30 to 8:00 time missing I wish it would just not record any part of the movie. I understand that if the movie is not seen in the next 14 days it will record what it can,,,, but it makes no sense to split the movie. It does give a message that a partial was recorded due to conflict.

So if the full movie comes on again say in 21 days it will not record the full movie.... because it thinks it already recorded it fully unless I catch it and delete the broken movie.
