Favorites not recording.

My favorites are marked with a white border around them, but they are not being automatically recorded. I have to go in and select them to be recorded manually. I see that there is an option to have SageTV "intelligently" record things for you, but I do not want it to record anything automatically, other than the favorites that I have setup. Can this be done?

Favorites should get recorded automatically.
SageTV only shows them in the recording schedule a
couple of days before they will be recorded.

If they are not actually getting recorded then there is a bug you should report it via a support e-mail.

Before sending an e-mail confirm that you've got your setting for the favorite set appropriately. What I mean is that they are appearing in the Favorites Manager, you've selected First Run, Re-run or both, and that when you look at when they are airing in the guide they have a white border around them.

Could you also give a specific example of one that's not recording? As much detail as possible would help.

I cannot give a specific example right now, as I do not remember the test Favorite I configured. I deleted it after it didn't work. I will run another test, however, and I will leave it. I set up the test as I was uncertain if the white border around my original Favorite (Farscape) would actually record the show or not. When it didn't, I have since been manually selecting all of the white borders and turning them yellow once a week or so. This works, of course, but is not ideal.

I fear I may be experiencing the same problem. When I set a favorite up, all the episodes that are currently in the guide automatically set up to record. However, when additional episodes come up in the guide as time passes, they are not added to the SAGE TV Recording schedule.

If I go into Favorites Manager and select each favorite and select upcoming airings I can see new episodes but they are not scheduled to record.

Should I see them in reccoring schedule? How far in advance would I see them? Should I see them as soon as they are picked up in the guide as time passes?

I have had Sage TV for a while but just started using favorites. I haven't waited to see if an episode passes by without being recorded. I am going to go in and manually set the upcoming episodes to record but I'd like to know if I am doing something wrong here.

I too have Intelligent Recording disabled.

It'll only plan out Favorites recordings 3 days in advance. What you're seeing is fine.
