When you delete recordings are they deleted then or marked okay to delete later?

I have sage set up to use the full harddrive space.

* I have the sage-add on to display hard drive space that is left. It shows about 50% left.
* Harddrive is down to the last 5 gigs.

What I find interesting is that on the harddrive i see some shows from earlier in the year that I dont see in the show list on sage. Should I be concerned that sage doesnt know about these recordings that are just taking up space?

Is there a way I can have sage delete all these in limbo recordings?

Sage deletes files right away. If you have shows on the harddrive that are not listed as recordings then look in imported videos. It may be that Sage, for some reason, does not recognize them as recordings so it thinks they are imported video.

Deletions happen basically instantly.

You may have to manually audit and delete the files not represented in Sage. Especially if you don't care or want them... Otherwise, use BMT and re-import them as recordings and deal with them there.

You may also have a lot of partial recordings that have not been deleted. Go to TV->Partial Recordings and see what's there. The bar that shows the drive space remaining does not count these partials as used space because they will be deleted if the space is actually needed.

In any case it's perfectly safe to just manually delete the files.

And there are cases where Sage may take several minutes to physically delete a file, but never hours or days.
