Delete recordings from OS?

Delete recordings from OS?

I primarily use Sage TV to record shows for transfer to my laptop for viewing on my long daily commute. I do the transfer by going into explorer, highlighting the mpg files, then cutting and pasting them to a share I have on my laptop. Will deleting the files from SAGE in this manner cause any problems?
