Ok cool, I think I will send the 1tb back and get 2 of the 2tb. I didn't want to mess with RAID either. It would be nice not to worry about space.

So since I have the 2 320gb drives, I'll make one partitioned with OS and Programs.

I have 1x 1tb drive for movies, music, pictures and stuff

Then I'll have 2x 2tb drives for recordings.

That sounds pretty good.

THANKS AGAIN!!

Ok, I ordered the 2 WD and am sending back the Samsung's. I'm a little pissed at Newegg now for charging a 15% restocking fee and I never even opened the drives. So it cost me $30 to have them ship them and for me to send them back. Bad for Newegg.

I do have a question about the Colossus. I know that it's not a dual tuner and I know one set of connections is for input. What is the other set good for? I've been reading the Colossus thread for a couple of hours each night to see what's going on with it, but I haven't seen anything about that.

Thanks!!

The other set of connections is for passthrough. Most won't use that though. Just call newegg and they might not charge for the restock fee. I've never been charged one as I do every return over the phone. I've spent enough money with them that they always work with me (and even before I spent money with them). I've always gotten good customer service from them.

Dammit, I wish I would have known that. Maybe I'll still call them though. I too have spent a boatload of money with them.

Thanks for the input on the output connectors. I kind of figured that, but wasn't sure.
