Comskip CPU Utilization Question
Hi Sagers!!
I have an Intel i5-2500 quad core CPU with 4GB of ram and when I run comskip it uses about 25% of the overall CPU processing power (1.5GB of ram in use). Is there something I can do to make comskip run faster by using more CPU capacity or can I only process multiple files at a single time? I did some searching around on the net for answers to this question but didn't find anything definitive. Thanks! Chad

Chad,
comskip itself is not multi-threaded. What are you using to launch comskip? If you are using CommercialDetector it will allow you to comskip more than one recording at the same time. (Setting is in the config options.) Tom
