Missing Remote Poll

Missing Remote posted a poll about which Media Manager people use and they included Sage + Diamond specifically. If you have a minute (and you're enjoying Diamond) feel free to head over and give us a vote

what if you enjoy Sage + Diamond + MyMovies?
they only listed:
  • Sage
  • Sage + MyMovies
  • Sage + Diamond
I think they fail to comprehend just how truly wonderful and configurable Sage really is... it is almost like they are just WMC people who are trying (but failing) to have an open mind for the competition...

I picked the Sage + MyMovies one... because, while Diamond is great, and it is kind the glue that holds everything together, it really is the SMM plugin that shines brightest...
anyone not using SMM is truly missing out...

note: I am not really a MyMovies fan by itself... before Plucky came along, I had uninstalled MyMovies a few times and had sworn never to reinstall it...

but on the other hand, Diamond really is great, why wasn't there a SMM + Diamond option?

I use TVE, BMT and SageTV, so I just picked the plain vanilla SageTV. I think the fact that they included multiple options for SageTV is sort of a disservice. I would have just preferred a single SageTV option, then another poll for additional options, such as BMT, TVE, SMM, Diamond, etc. Considering the poll has already garnered close to 500 votes, I'm hesitant to make a major change like that.

Disclosure: I'm an editor over at Missing Remote.

I wish I would have been on the podcast, so that I could have mentioned this. I also wouldn't say that they (we) don't have an open mind. The fact is, however, that WMC does have a larger install base than SageTV, so it's not exactly uncommon for sites to appear to be WMC-centric.

I've got a little more understanding on what the poll is aimed at now, so I take back what I said about a single option for SageTV. That wouldn't have been sufficient.
