A missing Remote
I have an MX 500 Remote, and I would like to program it to control the Z 680 speaker system. I bought the speaker system used and didnt get the remote. I was wondering if anyone knows how I could assume its functions and program the MX 500 to talk to the Z680 head unit?
Here is a picture of the missing remote I am talking about, if it matters http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Thank you. If this cant be done, I will just try to purchase a remote for it on ebay. |

I don't know how the MX500 works, but you could try remotecentral.com, they have an MX section. I use the same speakers, but with a Harmony...It's in the data base.

I think the MX 500 can probably do it (maybe the codes are already built into MX-500???) but how to get that kind of stuff working in the MX 500 is still a mystery to me. I will go look at remotecentral website and see what I can find out. |

z-680 remote ccf file
So I found a .ccf file for the z-680 on RemoteCentral.com, however I dont know what to do with it
I have only used the learn mode in my MX-500 to learn the 10 devices it controls. And I got all that working jsut fine. But I dont even know if I can use the .ccf file. I dont think the MX-500 can use it directly, but maybe there is a piece of software and/or another cheap remote that I could use it with, and then teach the MX 500???? It seems I remember reading about some piece of software that can read/tweak these ccf file (proto?) |
