Does Sage My Movies fix titles/metadata under DVD/BD menu

I installed sage my movies today(I had used it once before). When i rip my dvds I rip them with the folder as e:/dvd//The_name_of_movie/

My movies collection manager found all the all the dvds fine. I now see cover art in Sage under DVD/BD. However I was thinking the titles and movie descriptions would fill in under the DVD/BD menu. I thought that is how it workedo n my old system but I could be losing it. Am I misisng a setting or do I only see that info under the my movies menu?

On a possible related note. I installed the my movies plug in from my server but I dont have the my movies menu under video on extenders. I thought I would maybe need to 'Import UI modification' however I dont see a stvi for mymoves. I did see a 'full ui'/syv called SageMyMoviesSTViV7Beta1.1800.xml by my extender locked up when I tried to load that.

So I guess I have two questions but first things first, is there a step I am missing if I just want the metadata to display okay under DVD/BD?

If you just want metadata you should use bmt and use the mymovies option to import the mymovies xml. You can export an xml from collection management and point bmt to it. Best of both worlds.

Interesting.. If I do that is there any reason I cant run my movies on the pc I use to rip DVDS rather then my sage server? I like to keep the server as lean as possible.

Along the same lines, the my movies wall, could that run off a xml export of the metadata or does that expect to connect right to the sql server?

bmt is overkill if you just need the movies data into sagetv just set the collection manager to output properties files and reindex your collection and you are good to go.

Movie wall by smm requires the SQL connection but you can install the collection manager as a client on the pc you rip
