Programmatically detect a current recording?
Hi all,
Is there a way to tell if STV server is currently recording a program? I want to use a Macro app to reboot the server each night to keep things clean but I do not want to inturrupt a recording. Thanks, Rick |

If you use the web interface plugin for SageTV, it can generate XML files for certain things. One of which being anything currently recording. There is also an XML file generated for the next upcoming recording, so you can be sure you don't miss the beginning of a recording while rebooting the machine.
You can install the Web Interface from the SageTV plugin manager (assuming you are using SageTV 7) |

Thanks!
Excellent, thank you!
I'll ghost the system and give it a try. Rick Quote:
