How do I turn off Recording on Current Channel?
Hello,
Im trying to watch the Stanley Cup Finals (Go Edmonton) and apparantly there is some broadcast copyright, making it unwatchable. Is there an option to turn off the recording of the current channel? Every other channel, program, commercial are fine... just the game. My friends have the same problem with their PVR watching the cup game. -Matt

Hockey Game
Well, its not totally unwatchable... technically its there, video/sound... its just extremely choppy (everything else works 100% except the game, even the channel on commericials)
Also in the top right hand corner of the screen a flashing square icon keeps appearing. I live in Vancouver, BC, using Shaw Cable / CBC. It might not be the recording, but my guess that it is. I just want to turn off recording current channel to see if this fixes the issue. -Matt

I don't know what causes what you are describing, but as a PVR, SageTV records everything you watch; there is no option to turn that off.

The NBC broadcast looks to be just CBC with John Davidson and Mike Emerick...that being said, the CBC broadcast quality in SD is horrible. My analog cable Sage machine looks better than DirecTV downstairs. I don't think it's Sage in your case. (Actually, you're not using an expired Elcard decoder, are you?)
