SageTV and automatic moving of recordings

I have not yet purchased sagetv but will probably be doing so in the near future.

I will cutting off cable TV in favor of Over the Air and do not want to pay TIVO for the monthly amount.

So, I am looking at building my own DVR out of a zotac ZBOX and would like to use a 64 GB SSD to run Linux OS and SageTV. I plan on using SiliconDust HD Dual Tuner

The ideal situation would be for me to record locally to the SSD then have SageTV automatically move the recording to my readynas DUO when a recording is completed. Even better would be some sort of fault tolerance so that if the NAS is not available, the recording is not moved and deleted from the SSD. SageTv would then show the recordings available on both the NAS and locally on the zbox.

Can SageTV perform such a function "out of the box"?
If not is there a plugin which would give me this capability?
If no plugin to do this is available has anyone written a script to implement such functionality?

Thanks,
Brad

Sage won't do it out of the box, but there is a plugin (Sage Job Queue) that can be configured to do what you want. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but it is very customizable.

That said, for the cost of harddrive space these days, I'd recommend just getting a HDD and putting that in the sagetv system. Local storage is just that much simpler.

Out of the box....no. Or at least not that I'm aware of.

You might want to look at SJQ V4. Should easily handle what you want.
