Forgetting Favorites
I record the "O'Reilly Factor" every weekday at 6pm. Normally, we watch it when it finishes recording. Last week, it didn't record on Monday night so I checked the recording schedule and it wasn't there for any other night. The first thing I tried was to 'clear' all past recordings, no change. Next, restart Sage and voila, they're back. And, I think, a bunch of other favorites appeared as well. Can't verify that as I was just paying attention to O'Reilly.
Using Sage ver 7.0.23.246, the latest beta STV file, on a server running Win XP. Plenty of free hard drive space. Anyone else experience this ? Any suggestions ?

Check out the episode ID for this program in the EPG. If it stays the same that would be one reason why it's not recording. I think there is an option in the Detailed Setup that will help out for recording programs that use the same episode ID.

Checked that out right away, different episodes, even 'cleared' all the previous recordings. The more I think about this, the more I think this problem may have happened before. There have been several times other shows have not been recorded. I've always attributed it to the missed show being a 'repeat', but maybe not. No way to know. Whatever the problem is, it seems to disappear with a reboot. So, the server gets rebooted every morning. Not very elegant but effective !
