Forgetting about PVR card
I'm having a problem with the .12 beta (and I think it happened with the .13 beta too, causing me to go hunting around and lose that 120GB of tv). I've had problems with sage hanging the computer hard for the last week or two, and so I've had to reset the system a lot. There's a fairly even chance that sage will forget that it can record with our PVR350, although everything else is just fine. We don't notice right away until it fails to record something we expect it to record. Until I noticed that there was no encoder listed in Scheduled Recordings, I was baffled at what was happening.
Is anyone else having this happen? |

Sometimes when Sage crashes it could end up putting your card in the mmc/ignore encoders entry in the Sage.properties file. Take a look in there. If it is there remove it and make sure to shut Sage completely down when you edit it-not just sleep.

It's not ignoring the encoder, since when it comes up and doesn't record things all I have to do is go into setup and re-setup the card. When I've had things in ignore, I can't even do that until properties is fixed. It just seems to forget the card is set up.
