Batch Tagging Videos Which Can't be Scraped

I'm hoping for a little guidance before I embark on a highly manual task. I've moved fully into SageTV over the past few months. I've used BMT to help tag all of my movies and tv shows.

I'm now left with 100's of videos (mostly home videos, sporting events, and mma fights) for which there is no data to lookup. I'd like to move these videos into my Recordings folder and tag them as tv shows with a series name like "Home Videos", "MMA", "Basketball", etc. They are already arranged in folders which align to this method.

I can easily convert them to Recordings by using the "Import as Recordings" batch operation in BMT. I can't find any way to automate or batch classifying it as a tv show or giving them a series name without going into each record manually in BMT to update them. For a few hundred files, this will take me forever.

Any help guidance which might help me automate this or shorten the time would be great. I've done lots of reading and haven't found anything.

Thanks.

Batch editing is on my list, but not implemented It would be a great feature, and I will get to it at some point... just not in the near future
