Recorded TV Disk Priority
Hi Folks,
I have 3 Media folders configured for Sage TV to record to; one local disk and two network (NAS) shares. Problem is, the order of priority is set alphabetically on the name of the shares. I want LOCAL first and then the network disks. How do I set the order of the shares manually so it defaults to local disk? Cheers

Sage will record to the one that has the most disk space available. You can't set priority between local and network drives.

Live recording directory order of preference
I tried searching for this and couldn't find anything although I could swear I've seen this discussed somewhere. Is the order of preference for the live recording directories configurable? Do I have to remove directories and add them in the order I want?
Has someone come up with a tool to move recorded video from a local drive to a network share automatically on a schedule? I'd like to record locally but keep it as empty as possible. * merged *

In V7 under Setup->Detailed_setup->General there is a property titled 'Video Recording Path Optimization Style' that can be set to optimize for bandwidth or space. If set to optimize for space whenever a recording is started it will be placed in the recording directory with the most free space. If set to optimize for bandwidth, if a recording is started and there is not currently another recording in progress, it will be placed in the recording directory with the most free space. If there is another recording in progress it will be placed in the recording directory with the most free space from the pool of recording directories where the previous recording is not taking place.
In V6 there is no choice and Sage optimizes for space. There is no distinction between live TV and a scheduled recording. A recording is simply a recording. |

Does anyone know how the force recording directory affects this?
