Fast Forward Bug

Still exsists in the release version of the software. At least here. Do any of you folks that had the problem before still have it with this latest version?

Yes, I have encountered the same thing and have already submitted a support request.

A lot of the lockups I experienced with the Beta versions occurred when I was fast forwarding or fast rewinding. I assume that is what the initial poster was refering to.

None here. Won't hurt anything to submit a bug. Just be sure to include the decoder you are using and your audio\video hardware.

From reading the forums, I get the impression that some decoders are very very sensitive to FF/REW...

Well, the interesting thing in my case is that I am running with the Hardware Decode Only option ENABLED.

My fast forward (with v.18 & v.19) isn't as responsive as it used to be. I can press ff a few times and then it becomes unresponsive until a wait a few seconds and then I can use it again. Before, with v.17, I used to be able to just press ff as much as I want. That's with the haup silver remote, btw.

I don't even HAVE fast forward or rewind! When I'm watching a show and click (which I HATE anyway, much prefer 1.4 automatic menu on mouse move if I could do it - anyone know how?), I only get the arrow option to pause, and even after that I have to use a keystroke to play again. The only way I can ff or rw is to click on the status bar to get the show to move. Am I missing something?

I have already submitted this as a bug for each release since .16 or .17.

FYI,

I am using the stock decoder (non-css) with all default settings. I have tried EVERY setting with every decoder and it does it with all of them. This bug appeared somewhere near .16 or .17 beta.

Its usually very easy to duplicate, press FF or RW several times and the software freezes for several seconds and then will continue again. Sometimes it seems that the IR is buffered too so that when it unfreezes it jumps ahead.

This is a USB-IRT.

This is really the only problem that I have had recently with the software.

Same for me. First couple of FF work fine. then FF won't work for a few seconds, then it works again. It has not locked up completely, but it is lowering the WAF at the moment.
