HD-PVR problems again

During most of the beta my HD-PVR worked well. At the end of it something went south and I got brief pauses or gaps while recording. Blue light blinks briefly, recording stops, no errors. Sometimes video will catch up, sometimes the frame gets frozen, but audio restarts. After that the timeline seems messed up by the sum of all the brief pauses that have occurred during the show.

I tried all sorts of things to clear up the issue including reinstalling HD-PVR, SageTV, but nothing worked. After the beta I did a clean install in win7 32bit and the released version of SageTV 7. Everything was good using HD-PVR till last week. Last week Sage locked up while channel changing. I had kill the process.

Since then I am seeing the same issues as the beta. I tried doing a hwclear and reinstalling the HD-PVR drivers, versions 1.5.1 and 1.5.7. I also have switched back to analog audio (digital was working fine before and in v6).

I really don't want to re-install the os again. Any ideas? Is there a bug database we can see on known HD-PVR problems?
I'm pretty frustrated at this point and wish I had kept V6 and XP where everything was solid.
