Movies end around 15 secs too early

Hi,

I found that movies played through SageTV end about 15 seconds too early. Has anyone else seen this issue?

I use the HD300 as the client.

Greetings
Andreas

We need more info.

What type of movies? Recordings? If so, what encoder are you using? DVD Rips? Blu-Ray Rips? Downloaded movies? Does it happen just on movies, or any video file?

Hi,

I found that this happens with basically any video file I use (in my case only DVD and BluRay rips plus a few mkvs. I use the latest SageTV version. This happens with myMovies as well.

Is there any kind of logging option that could help to clarify this?

Greetings
Andreas

Do the files play to conclusion outside of SageTV?

I'm seeing the same issue. It does not bother me on movies because I don't watch through the credits, but for ripped TV shows it is annoying to miss the last bit of the episode.

I wonder if this is a time scaling issue. I'm not sure that it would cause this, but I suppose it's possible.

I just ran one of my .MKV's, and it ended on time. That on a SageTV client.

I haven't seen this issue but I've been running the beta. try the beta firmware for the HD300 to see if the problem goes away.

Well that would be good news; however, i installed the beta HD300 software last week and am still seeing the issue.

Support had me try the extender in stand alone mode and it also has the issue. Now they are requesting log files which I hope to produce tonight.

For anyone who is interested. I've been working with support on this (logs and then more detailed logs). Here is the reply I got back from them over the weekend:

Rob,

The developers have found the issue and is fixed for version 7.1 which will
be out in beta sometime in the near future.

George
