Issues with ripped movies

Hello,
I have the latest SageTV v7 program and had v6 before upgrading. I never had this issue with v6, so I guess it is something about v7, or a plug in.
Anyway, my issue is that when I setup my media directories and did a rescan I had most of my ripped DVD and Blu-Rays having new names (not my folder names) and fanart or a different picture for the thumbnail (not the folder.jpg that I put into each folder). Also, all of my Blu-Ray rips had "HD" beside them, which I didn't mind too much. The things that bothered me was the names and pictures. So I found that in my import directories there were new files named for my movies. I didn't do that so I deleted them and did a rescan. However they came back. So I did a little more digging and saw that in the Phoenix Core Services plugin there were things I could change. It had several things that I thought might do this so I disabled everything that I could in the plugin, restarted the server, and deleted the files. Since then, the files haven't come back and the majority of the movies are the way I want them. However, there are a few that have the names not what I have for the folder name and a few others that have the different picture and all of the Blu-Ray rips have the "HD" still.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to let you know what I did.

Here are the list of plugins I have:
Phoenix Core Services
SageTV HD Database
SageMC (used on two extenders for my wife)
Always show submenus
Diamond for Default SageTV7 STV (used on my server, my client and another extender)
Multifunction Stop

Can someone please tell me how I can clear out the leftover information?

Thanks,
Chuck

Install the Batch Metadata Tools Web Interface plugin (which acts as the UI for the Phoenix Core Services). In there you can configure settings, and make whatever changes you want to the metadata for your imports.

Was this a from scratch sagetv install? I was under the impression the auto-lookup features of Phoenix were disabled by default (unless, of course, you already have them enabled in the .properties files from a previous install).

That said, I'm not sure you'd really NEED the phoenix core services unless you wanted this lookup capability. It might be that the Diamond theme is pointing to the wrong thing for it's dependency (it SHOULD only need the Phoenix API, which just provides the phoenix api tools, without the metadata scraping).

Fuzzy,
I may install BMT so I can disable the things I want to. This was not a fresh install but in my v6 install I didn't have any extras in it at all except SageMC with no fanart use at all.
If I don't need the phoenix core services, do I just uninstall that and my problems will go away or will the movies that are not the way I want them still be wrong?

Thanks for your help,
Chuck

No, you won't be able to remove/disable the phoenix core services, as they are a dependency of the Diamond Theme. Best bet would be to do what you did - go in to the phoenix core services configuration and disable what you don't want it doing.
