HD 1212 Hauppauge Installation Errors for Vista

I recently got a HD Hauppauge 1212 PVR for Christmas, and when I tried to install it, I came up with the commonly known error "Drivers have not been updated, Hardware compatible not found". I've tried multiple things to try and fix it, such as downloading the latest patch of the Hauppauge website, or running the setup as admin, or going to device manager>then finding the "unknown device" and try updated the drivers, but it never works. I've tried almost every solution I can find.

My current specs for my comp is :
System Type: Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit SP2
CPU: Intel Core Quad Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz
Ram: 4GB Ram
Graphics Card: 9500 GT

So if you guys can leave any suggestions or anything that would help, that'd be great!
-PS: Trying to record for Xbox 360, got the component cables and everything hooked up.
-PSS: Sorry if this thread is to long, i just wanted to make sure you guys had ENOUGH information.

Silly questions. Sorry, but have to make sure.

1. USB is connected from Hauppauge 1212 to computer, correct?
2. Hauppauge 1212 is powered on?
3. Run hwclear (from hauppauge) and then install drivers for hauppauge 1212?
4. Can you see an "unknown device" in device manager?
5. Did you run the install as administrator?

I've tried everything except for the hwclear program. So I ran it as admin, i choose the last option to find any compatible problems or whatever, and it gave me one specific error that you can see by looking at the jpg below.
So what now?

my only advice is do what it says, reboot (with 1212 disconnected) and immediately run hwclear.exe

reboot again and install drivers

I've tried everything! And nothing is working, It must be my 64 bit Vista computer... Should I try portioning my hardrive? and then try installing like 32 bit or something? Look at the picture under too see what happens before the compatible error comes in.

actually, that looks perfect.

sometimes it can sit there for a long time before it completes. do you have any other hauppauge devices in your box?

did you run the setup as administrator as well, and is UAC on or off.

It looks good, but then after about 3 seconds it changes to the compatible error and it happens every single time. When i start it up from setup, or the cd, and i'm running admin on everything... What do you mean do i have any other hauppauge devices in the box? Like the box It came with?
And whats UAC?

sorry. "in the box" meaning do you have any other hauppauge tuners in your computer. Like pci card or other usb tuners.

UAC is vista user access control, its that annoying "are you super duper sure" dialog thing.
