Plucky,

I'm not looking to change from Diamond, But YAMMM looks interesting. Will I have to use this new interface to use YAMMM?

Yes please

I must admit the Sage V7 UI just does not cut it for the family, gone back to SageMC.

A nice, simple and easy to navigate UI is what I'm waiting for.

I have to agree! SagetTV 7 UI is a great improvement over 6, but it's just it is missing the simple navigation setup. We cannot even change the menus where they go or rename them, or can we?

Hi. Just wanted to introduce myself. I know a few of the users in thread already but for those that don't, I'm the author of Yammm.

Yammm v1 is long overdue for a new version and I've been working on v2 for over a year now on\off. Postponing it initially for feature set and then due to billable commitments. With Project Lucid it was delayed a little further but we are close now and the delay was definitely worth it.

There are a quite a few new features in Yammm v2, the standard movies, TV, games, artwork, subtitles, boxset, ... that will be available to all the different platforms that Yammm supports but also a few features that will be unique to Lucid that I'm pretty excited for.

I've tried hard to keep to the original Yammm v1 goals in mind--mainly a lightweight metadata manager that runs w/o user interaction. I've long wanted to make a front-end for Yammm but I have zero artistic ability so working with Plucky and Jorton made sense and I believe will offer an extremely stable, aesthetically appealing and hopefully popular front-end.

The initially version of Yammm will be limited to Windows based systems but I will be expanding that.

Welcome! After seeing you at the Houston WinMeet, I didn't think you would be showing up on the dark side. Glad to have you. It was, ummm entertaining, to converse with the true believers at the meet. Not that I'm a M$ hater, but there was almost religious fervor against extenders. In addition to YAMMM, you'll have to tell us how your CETON is working out.

Waiting for that silent lucidity.......

Let me also extend a welcome and thank you for not only YAMMM but for contributing to the sage community as a whole. I know many of us are looking forward to this, especially the coming tv series support as this is sorely lacking in the alternatives.

Do you have any best practices/wiki type guidelines for prepping data and/or migrating to YAMMM (wow that was manager speak, sorry). Right now my movies are disasterously named but well cataloged with mymovies, and my tv series are moderately well named (MediaScout) and disasterously cataloged.

Wow, not sure how I missed this thread until today. Are you accepting pre-orders for early access?

I've not yet used YAMM but given the other tools I've seen from mikinho i have no doubt it (along with Lucid) will only enhance the SageTV experience.
