I am not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this but I am having trouble getting 2 collossus working. I originally purchased one when it first came out and have been using it until today. I purchased a 2nd collossus. Here is what I did to install the 2nd.

1. I stopped the sagetv service. I then disabled the service.
2. I ran HCWclear and shutdown the computer.
3. I installed the new collossus.
4. I booted the server.
5. The server recognized the new card and the old collossus. I downloaded the newest Collossus driver. I ran the driver install.
6. Everything seemed to go ok. I set the sagetv service back to automatic. Rebooted the server.
7. Once the Sage service was started and started my hd200. Sagetv saw both collosus. I added both collosus in as tuners.

The result is:
The new collosus seems to perform well but the old collossus does not produced any video or sound. I checked the connection to the cable box and everything seems normal.

Troubleshooting:
1. I again ran hcwclear. Installed both collosus using the disk that came with the new collosus. This did not make a difference.
2. I shut down the computer. Unplugged the component dongle and plugged it back in. I restarted the computer. No change.

So now I am looking for suggestions/procedures for installing 2 collosus.

Other info:
The collosus are connected to the cable box via component.
Motherboard that the Collossus is installed in
The original collossus has always been installed/working in the PCI express X1 slot.
The new collossus is installed into the PCI express X16 slot.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to help

I had the same problem and just figured out how to fix it.

Go to:

Setup - Setup Video Sources - Colossus - Color Calibration

Set everything to default (or adjust to taste). My settings were all jacked up for some reason. Hue and Sharpness default settings appear to be screwy so I just set them to 196 and 192 respectively.

Settings are now (I believe this is default):

125
128
128
196
192

Frist you need check in your bios under Advanced BIOS Features
Init Display First: OnChipVGA
Graphics Display Mode: D-SUB/DVI or D-SUB/HDMI
Internal Graphics Mode: Auto
If that dosen't work you may need call Gigabyte or try the Forum here http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/ or http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/
You may go with ASUS M4A88T-M LE, ASUS M4A88TD-M, MSI 880GMA-E55 which has 2 PCIe x1 slots

The funny thing is that the collossus that was inserted into the PCI X1 slot worked fine until I placed one into the PCI X16 slot. Now the one in the PCI X16 slot works fine but not the PCI X1. I will need to experiment and remove the one from the PCI X16 slot and see if the PCI X1 suddenly starts to work. I appreciate all those suggested mobos but they are all AM3. My cpu is an older AM2. Any older mobo's with 2 PCI X1 slots? I have been scouring newegg and the pickin's seem slim.

Your CPU is Really AM2+
I only of one that is ECS MCP61PM-HM Nettle3-GL8E other then that I don't know of any other off hand that are older AM2/AM2+ with 2 PCIe x1 slot in MiniATX forum in fact I'm pettey sure you will not fine any other then then AM3 that why it also best to go with Full ATX board

ok i tested out the 1.2.29192 drivers last night...
Results:
HDMI crashed the machine within 45 mins... the machine got a BSOD.

component + spdif= great success no crash after 3 hours or use, and no out of sync issues.

when i do my test i do run all of them at the same time. i do have dolby digital turned OFF on my directv STBs because in my previous test with the 29111 driver i would get jumbled static instead of the normal audio every once in a while. I have NOT tested dolby digital turned on with the new drivers..... (I can only do testing when the wife is not around ... can't have a wife without her TV ... ).

dolby digital turned OFF
This seems to be key for me. 2x DirecTV H20 and 2x Colossus on HDMI.
* Locked to 1080i and turned off Dolby Digital
* Nightly reboot

Dolby Digital on seems to be OK for a movie but TV seems to make it unstable pretty quick. I think it may not handle a change from one audio mode to another very well. Turn it off and all seems stable.

I discovered this by mistake when an old H20 died and the replacement made things unstable. Only difference was the Dolby was off on the one that worked and I had not noticed.

Two days on the latest drives without problems.

Same here
* 1 Colossus on HDMI.
* Locked to 720p but turned off Dolby Digital
* Nightly reboot
Funny thing was with WinTV7 and Dolby Digital ON and 20+ hour of back to back rec I never saw a problem even with it switch to diff channel.

My HD PVR is rock-solid and has no problems at all with optical audio AC3 and channel changes, commercials, etc.

So I have serious doubt that SageTV is the culprit with the Colossus.

I guess I'll find out what my new colossus will be able to do later this week once directv gets installed. I'm hoping I can have native resolution output with ac3, but I can only hope at this point.
