WHS SageTV not fully stopping via console stop

When I stop SageTV via my WHS Console I still keep getting a SageTVService.exe popping in and out of task manager. I expect that when I indicate that I want SageTV stopped I want it stopped in total. This behavior makes it difficult to restore a backup copy of an install that I need to do for troubleshooting reasons; somehow something has gotten corrupt, CPU is nearly pegged by SageTV and I cannot connect to it, any suggestions?

Can you get to the main WHS OS? If you can, then try stopping the service from the management console. If it stills starts and stops on its own, try disabling the service and then rebooting. Hopefuly after the reboot it is disabld and stays that way.

A reboot does set things straight to where the WHS SageTV console start / stop buttons work as designed.

However in the situation I described above the stop action via the WHS console resulted in only 1 SageTVService.exe stopping, this happens on occasion, it's like whatever is triggering the 2nd service to fire is orphaned and can't be reached.
