WHS SageTV Console Problems

Hi,
I installed the .msi through the WHS console and it shows up there, service running, etc. I'm trying to use Placeshifter on a client PC and within the network it works fine. I set up the port forwarding and opened ports as described in the FAQ on my router as well.

Problem is when I'm off my network and try to use the locator ID it says it can't connect and I should go to my SageTV installation - options - advanced - etc. and check the Placeshifter internet connection. But when I RDP into my WHS and try to run SageTV i get the 16bit resolution notice and then the software appears to try and start but immediately shuts down before loading anything. Any ideas?

Thanks.

nevermind... i finally realized, oh is java installed on the WHS? answer was no. now everything seems to work pretty darn well.

one question though, do i need to configure video and audio filters on the server or is that something to worry about on the clients instead?

I don't have any audio/video stuff installed on my server at all. I can't watch any recordings from the server desktop of course, but I can still run the sage client to set things up if I need to. Usually I just do everything from my extender, though.
