HD200 20100909 0 FW - Need to Revert to Best FW for 6.X Server
Foolishly, I missed the fine print on the FW updates saying this FW was only recommended on Sage 7.X and higher. I was doing a "check for updates" on my HD200 and it said there was new FW available.
I am running the latest version of Sage 6. I can tell that this FW is not getting along with my Sage 6 Server. Very sluggish, while my Sage Clients stayed fast. Also, it's not picking up default soundtracks on some of my DVD's. Iron Man 2, for example, has to have the default soundtrack selected every time I play it, and the menu functions are strange. How do I revert the FW back to the best version for Sage Server 6, and where do I find it? Thanks for any help.

20100909 hangs on update @ 22%
The update of the firmware started ok, and progressed to 22% and never finished after 15 minutes I shut the extender down. I have V7 ...023 and that also has issues selecting live channel display on the server client.

Check your connection to the Internet and make sure you're on a wired connection.

It definitely has issues with 6.x Servers I tried a 21-day 7.x Server on another CPU and linked the HD200 to it; it's gorgeous in a lot of ways, but there are some weird things as well, such as all media folders being truncated and never scrolling so it's really hard to figure out what's in them, etc. I'm just happy with version 6; it does everything and it's stable and I can adjust its properties files as I need to.

Well, there's issues.
DVD audio playback is unpredictable. I sometimes have to go into the first chapter of a movie to get sound. I can't select it from audio options under the DVD menu or just start the movie playing. If I do, no sound. It's sluggish. It's just that simple. The fonts are slighlty different, and fuzzy. The DVD chapter up/down arrows that appear graphically on the blue info bar across the bottom of the screen act strangely and don't let me skip chapters. It tells me Iron Man II is a few seconds long. Causation? Can't prove it. Correlation? almost a perfect 1.0. Prior firmware=almost no issues. New firmware=serious issues with Server 6.x. Nothing mechanically has changed in my wired GbE setup, and I don't allow my Sage server to update XP without my permission. Gotta live in the real world - I don't need the scientific method to tell that literally since the instant of the FW upgrade it went bad. As I said, if I had seen the fine print, I never would have upgraded the FW. I was just casually checking the HD200 first before I read the FW sticky.

The latest beta firmware took care of the audio sound issues. Did you remove your plugins to see if the issues still exist?

I probably should have removed the plugins. I guess I never thought to because they never gave me issues before.
I am currently trying Server v7 on a 32-bit XP Pro machine to an HD200 and clients. They clients seem fine. The H200 is problematic but tolerable. Thanks.
