No posters on some movies?

Plucky,

Just wondering why occasionally I don't have images in the "Poster View" for some movies? For instance, I just ripped Anchorman and the poster view is blank for that movie The front cover image is there however and I can view it fine in "Sideways View".

Also, sometimes the Poster view has the wrong image for a movie. For example, I have Twilight: New Moon ripped. The cover shows up fine in sideways view, however, the wrong image is in the Poster view. There is a Spanish poster in the poster view and it says "Luna nueva" which is spanish for "new moon". Why would the spanish cover be there?

I have 250 points in My Movies which should allow me to get all fan art.

Where are the fanart/poster images stored? I see that the folder.jpg in each movie directory is the actual movie cover, but I can't find the fanart.

See the wiki posters don't exist for all movies as they aren't used by mymovies yet. The wiki does have a method for adding/override posters to those of your choice.

So if I read it right, I simply need to put either backdrop.jpg and poster.jpg in the folder that contains the movies, correct? So if I have Anchorman located at d:\movies\anchorman then I would put the backdrop.jpg and poster.jpg of my choice in that directory?

I did that and nothing appeared to happend. I know you say that you have to wait for Sage to rescan but I forced a scan of the imported media directories.

If it is a extender you need to wait for scaling which takes a while after the import.

Yup, using extenders. Hopefully it will show up soon!

Well its been about 10 hours later and still no images on certain posters. I put a Poster.jpg and a poster.jpg (wasn't sure if it was case sensitive) in the top level of each movie directory I don't have poster art showing up. So if Anchorman is in d:\movies\anchorman, I have the .jpgs in there with the other files that MMC puts in there (front/back DVD covers, etc...).

I'm confused about how the others posters got there, too. Does MMC download those automatically when I add a movie to my collection because of the 250 points I have with them? Or does MMC only download the backdrops?

I download them from MyMovies Web service if available when you have the points. I haven't actually tested the poster override method. Although I am pretty sure it works as it uses the same code as the background override method.

Anyone else using poster overrides?
