Are there Menu's with BluRay Disks?

I have been getting Blurays now. But I don't own a player, I'm just ripping them using DVDfab and playing them through Sage. Now sometimes I see DVDfab showing more than one title with the same playing time. So sometimes I like to rip the entire Disc and copy that ver and then see what shows up in the menu. I do that for my dvd when they might have 2 versions of the same movie on there.

But under sage I do get a choice for the Disc menu's like I would with a dvd.
I tried coping the entire disc over and when I played it I got just the directors commentary and some making of the movie. I couldn't play the movie.

So are there menu's on dvd's?

thanks

There are menus for DVDs but not for BD movies. Sage guesses at the correct audio track and sometimes gets it wrong. You can bring up the options menu (press select 2x) and there is a choice to select audio track so you can change it when it guesses incorrectly.

The only way to get menus for BD movies is to use a software player that has protected path like Arcsoft TMT or Cyberlink. There may be others, but those are the only 2 I know off the top of my head.

Ahhh...that explains it. I just created a BD from some home videos on our new camcorder. I created the menu and everything. When I uploaded it to the server and played it, it went right to the video portion.

Interesting....
