Connecting to mymovies server

I have mymovies server running on my winxp sp3 server machine with sql ver 8. I have mymovies client installed on my sage machine wihich is also winxp sp3. I have tried to get help in the mymovies forum to no avail. When I try to connect my client to my server using ip address it cannot find it. I have verified in services that the mymovies server is running. Can someone help me with this please?
Thanks

You need read write access to the mymovies share on the server as well as the firewall cannot be blocking the sql server.

Read/write access?

Could you tell me how to do this? I do not have a firewall up.
Thanks for responding so quick!

Your user that you are connected to on the client needs read write access to the mymovies share on the server (under the same user name and password).

Are you sure you don't have windows firewall blocking it as well?

Windows firewall is off, I shut down antivirus, I setup router to allow it to open the port and I have setup sql server(Mymovies with my server password and username and still can't connect. Also firewall is off in router.

You will have to go to mymovies forums as don't code or support the collection manager beyond the basics.
