Best DVD image format

I am new to the scene (just orderd my 1st HD300) and was looking for some advice.

What is the best platform for running the Sage Server software? I have a Windows Home Server with 3 2T drives and 4 GB of RAM that I have just built, but can redo the box as a Windows 7 Ultamate if that is a better enviroment.

What is the best format for storing (and managing) my DVD movies? With the price of disk drives, I am not concerned with space but with performance and ease of use. Am I beter off doing ISO files, VOBs, or is there a better way to do it.

Finaly, when I get my box in on Monday what skins or add-ins should I be looking at?

My main goal is to have a snappy system that my wife will enjoy using without having to pull back the curtan to see the workings.

Thanks for all of the help

Here's what I do.

Sage runs as an Add-in for WHS. You can download that version if you paid for the Windows version of the software.

I rip the DVDs as a standard rip in a VIDEO_TS folder under a folder with the same name as the movie. All kept on the WHS Videos share.

As Gerry stated, keep the files in their DVD folder structure so something like this:

\\Batman Begins\AUDIO_TS\ (empty directory)
\\Batman Begins\VIDEO_TS\ (VOBS and IFO files stored here)

Technically the audio_ts directory shouldn't be necessary, but I use DVDFABHD and it adds it automatically so I just leave it there (although this is a standard DVD format having the empty audio_ts directory).
