Better ways to sort and play podcasts?

I have several hundred podcasts of one radio show in one place. Sage sorts these alphabetically, and the podcast names begin with the day of the week they were broadcast, so Sage sorts all the Fridays together (going back two years) followed by all the Mondays, followed by all the Thursdays. Is there any way of getting Sage to sort these chronologically instead of alphabetically?

My workaround for listening to the three podcasts for Monday October 4 (one podcast for each hour of the show) was to put them in a playlist. This seems awfully awkward.

Also is there an easy way of navigating through the podcast? For example if a podcast is 37 minutes long, is there a way of quickly scrolling or grabbing a slider to advance to the 17 minute mark of the podcast? Control F advances playback by 30 seconds but is there a faster, smoother less clunky way of doing this?

I searched the Version 6 manual and the word "podcast" is not even in the document.
