SImple question about playing a DVD in drive and Library Scanning.
I am a relatively new Sage user, and think I am missing something basic.
Setup: Between recorded shows, a large movie collection, etc.. I have a library of 1: ~800 recorded shows 2. ~1500 videos 3. ~3000 photos. My problem is a library scan takes up to 30 minutes. So if I place a DVD in my drive, it takes up to 30 minutes to be able to play it! Not a great WAF. IS there anyway to move the DVD import directory (E up to the head of the line so it gets scanned first? thanks in advance.

I assume you are just using a single computer to store all of your videos and use Sage thru? Can't you just use the DVD option on the main screen? I haven't used a full client in a long time....

Maybe he's talkin' about the Bluray DVD thing.
I have a similar setup and it doesnt take a minute to scan for new content. Are you running Sage7? When I ran Sage6, it would take forever to complete a scan. With Sage7, it doesn't take long at all. Regardless, I still can't get Blurays to play on my setup. I know VC-1 content is not possible yet, but even other video types I just get a circle of death. |

Yes i was using the dvd/br thing. Yes its on sagetv7 (running in service mode). All my media is store on a homeserver accessed via UNC.
Does the Order of the import directories predicate anything about the order of scanning? i added my dvd drive last.
