hauppauge hd pvr need advice

hi guys ive just ordered a hauppauge hd pvr after a long wait to get one. now i have a few questions im new here and not really sure about a few things it would be great if u could help me.

first i know that it says on minimum requirements i need a dual core pc ect

i dont have that all i have is a acer aspire one notebook 1gb of ram
but ive heard that it will record no problem ive just been told that the playback will be a problem.

is there anything i can do here besides buying a new pc/laptop ?

i read that the most memory of ram was used up by watching the video as it was recorded on your pc and there was a third party recording programme which didnt show what was being recorded anyone know about this?.

what would u recomend i do

the notebook i have is an acer aspire one zg8 it has an intel atom n270 processor ect

do u think i will be able to use this for recording and editing with the hauppauge hd pvr

Give it a try. I think the viewing spec is for HDPVR's software, which you won't be using. You should be able to view via SageTV just fine.
