How to prevent DirMon triggering on live tv?
I've just started using comskip + dirmon2. I can't seem to find the right option or combination of options to prevent dirmon from triggering comskip on the live tv buffer created by STV. I've tried:
- checking "wait until file is finished" - checking "wait until file stops growing" with a size check time of 600 (I assume this is seconds??) - selecting "ignore files newer than" with a value of 1 hour No matter what I do, dirmon sees the live tv buffer in my recording dir and starts comskip on it. I guess I could just use the "block out" feature to ensure dirmon only triggers in the wee hours of the morning. Most of the time when I've recorded a program I don't watch it until the next day anyway. I'd like to know if anyone has come up with another solution though. BTW - I tried to use ComSkip Monitor and couldn't get it to install as a service.

If you choose "wait until file is finished" it starts and runs for a second or so to see if the file has finished growing. If you do a refresh of the DIrmon screen ro wait long enough it goes back to nothing and sits in the queue until done. Make sure in the comskip.ini file you have set live_tv=0. ALso yo9u may have to stop and start the Dirmon service for changes to take affect.
