How to record (via Favorites) Same Show-Episode different times?

WAF factor question.

Show/Episode airs twice a day.
Want to set 2 Favorites (limited by Hour) to record both.
This way spouse can watch first showing and if good (no bad weather, interruptions from "Special News/Weather alerts", etc), then delete the "duplicate" showing and archive/keep the good showing.

Right now, only the First showing of the day (episode) is showing in the Scheduled Recordings menu and the 2nd showing is not being recorded.

How do I get BOTH to record without having to always do a Manual Record for the 2nd showing?

You don't. If they have the same episode ID, Sage won't record a second airing of the same episode, even if they're covered by different Favorites. The only exception would be if you delete the first one without watching it (or "delete it because it's the wrong recording") before the second one starts.

Angry

Hmmm. OK. Did some more checking. Think I understand.

It had been working for a bit, but I see now that those were all "Re-run" (even though they were not) and they all had SHO<same number ending in 0000>

Not the guide shows them as First Runs with EP<same number><4 digit unique number>

So in order to "Hack" it to work, I would need to modify the ShowID of the 1st showing prior to the 2nd showing recording time? Would that work? Any plug-ins (or other suggestions) that would help do this "automatically"? Maybe schedule a SJQ task?

WAF taking a hit

I'm not an SJQ expert, but why mess around with ShowIDs trying to fake out the Favorite scheduler? Just set up a script or SJQ task or whatever to automate what you're doing now and mark them as manual recordings.
