Have the same show Record on different channels (Via 2 favorites)

Hi all,

My FOX reception and some other channels are flaky sometimes on OTA HD. I want another Favorite (or the same Favorite as described below) to record off analog cable at the same time. Seems like a straight forward thing but it doesn't work as the Show IDs are the same. Anyway to force this?

It would be a simple option and even could be part of a single favorite setup, you could just check off the channels you want it to record off of.

IE, On mine I have WUTVDT and WUTV analog checked off in a favorite so it'll record on either of those to prevent conflicts. But it would be cool, if you had another option like "Record off the following channels at the same time"

I would also find this useful for shows with flaky signals and no guarantee of reruns in the event of missed recordings. Currently, I'm using a VCR as backup for these purposes. My ABC affiliate has a weak signal, and I've removed it from my OTA line-ups, but my other tuners are QAM (channels move around) and a STB with USBUIRT (sometimes the remote signals get messed up). Another idea would be a built-in backup facility such that if a recording fails due to poor signal, Sage would move the recording to another available tuner - possibly even swapping what was being recorded on the other tuner to another tuner or time. That is, if show A is supposed to record on channel 6 on tuner 1, and show B on channel 28 on tuner 2, but show A (let's say it's a higher prioriity favorite) has a problem on tuner 1, it could move to tuner 2, and the show on tuner 2 could move over to tuner 1 (assuming it is available there) or dumped if it's a lower priority show.

See if the channel reception is really bad, Sage seems to start recording on another channel. But by the time Sage does this you've already missed a good portion of the show. Anyone think we could trick Sage via a Plugin? Say add "b" to a showid of the favorites we want? I dono.
