Mcafee thinks Showanalyzer has Trojan

I've read some posts where people seem to have had the same problem but I haven't seen a solution other than to change my AV program. Mcafee won't let me ignore the file and submitting the file to Mcafee didn't result in a response from them. I could switch to Norton, but...

1. I was hoping for confirmation that Showanalyzer does not have a trojan
2. I was hoping to get confirmation that Norton doesn't give me the same error message or at least allows me to ignore it
3. I paid for a 1 year renewal only a few weeks ago and was hoping not to purchase another program

Any help would be appreciated.

There is absolutely not a trojan in ShowAnalyzer. One option would be to disable McAfee long enough to install SAV. You might get the most help by posting on the SAV forum.

Unfortuantely, the next time you run a scheduled scan, Mcafee quarantines a file in Showanalyzer again. I didn't realize there was a Showanalyzer forum so I'll give that a try. Thanks.

McAfee and Norton are the 2 worst programs in existance. It's been that way for 15 years now .

Can't you just exclude your video folders from being monitored?

Our work machines have McAfee on them.
I have noticed that it detects a lot of false positives and missed lots of spyware.
