Can you hide converted files?

I have SageTV setup to create a converted copy for my iphone. However it adds these to my recorded list. Problem is my wife is confused by the dupilicated recordings.

Is it possible to create the converted copy and have it hidden?

I haven't played around with converting recordings but are you able to specify a destination and have that destination outside of known recording/media directories?

just a thought before I've had my coffee

If I understand your post I think you can hide or make the converted files invisible to Sage by simply deleting the numbers at the very end of the file name.

I convert my files and place them in a different directory. It was not difficult to do. I am not at home at the moment so I can't look to see what steps I took to do this. Let us know if you figure it out, if not I can post something later.

Well currently I am using SJQ to transcode the files and I specify a different directory outside of my recording directories however they show up in my recorded shows. Maybe I needed to specify a filename and not let it autoname the file.

Does anyone have a ruleset they use with SJQ for transcoding they would like to share?
