No data in Program Guide - Random

Ok, I have a lot of listings of No Data since updating to SageTV 7. My internet is up, I tried reselecting my program source is the source setup. It's not all programs but blocks of time just say No Data and it's a lot of them.

Never saw this in previous versions but it may not be 7, any suggestions of what to try though. Thanks.

Tried forcing an update and removing the server_update_id from the properties file after stopping the service. Still seem to have a lot of NO DATA listed all over the guide.

Should I try a reinstall over top of my existing install?

Does it ever help to back up your config and then do a fresh install and copy back in your config?

Ditto

I am also seeing the No Data problem in my guide. Never had this issue with previous versions. Forced an EPG update but still showing no data. Submitting a ticket.

You don't neeed to dose this, Just sel any channel not in your source channel setup then later on go back and uncheck it, so if your still getting No Data in the guide then the problem with TWC or Zip2it not SageTV.

Here's the FAQ for EPG problems:

My Program Guide is no longer updating and is missing data for some or all of my channels. How can I get it to start updating again?

This is an issue with the beta.
  • A lot of standard shannels are showing No Data for the next three days, but there is data for later in the week. Channels such as discovery, nick, etc.
  • I've been running sagetv over six years and haven't had this issue from standard channels from my provider until I upgraded to 7.
  • Forcing EPG updates does not help.
  • I uninstalled sage 7 and reinstalled latest 6 and everything worked, all channels filled out. Upgraded back to 7 and getting No Data again.
  • Zap2It is showing information for the channels I am missing.
  • Did an EPG update with debug mode using version 6, upgraded the system to version 7 then compared. Searched missing shows via station number and found that shows missing in 7 were not downloaded via EPG update but where in version 6 EPG update.

Very odd. I will just downgrade to version 6 then try again after a new beta comes out.

Support got back to me and told me to try:

1) Quite SageTV
2) Open up your Sage.properties file with notepad and search for
'server_update_id' (no quotes).
3) Delete all the properties that have 'server_update_id' in them
4) Do the same thing again for 'expanded_until'
5) Save the Sage.properties file and startup SageTV again

Part of this was in the FAQ Opus posted, with expanded_until added. This fixed it.
