Hi All,
If you live in Singapore and need an EPG, the tvxb program doesnt work with the new javascript web pages.
I have created a program that can read the pages and create an XML epg file that can then be uploaded by the xmltv uploader (i.e. I use stephanie's)

Its configurable, and support Chinese characters.
All episode info and descriptions are there, including actors and categories, etc. (Except for Mediacorp 5 - which is only episode name)
I have also stripped away / put into episode name all the series / set stuff so your favorites will work ok.

Starhub stuff comes with categories, description, episode titles, names, description, etc.
the Mediacorp 5 only has show name, as their guide is missing this now (click on a program and see the empty space).
Hopefully when they change it, we can update and get more info.

Also, its pretty quick to download, but i have put a delay in page retrievals just to stop hammering the starhub site. Still only takes about 5 minutes to download all channel data for the next week and a bit.

This is not a config file for tvxb, this is a separate little program that runs to download the guide from the new sites.

If yo are ok with this, then I will send you a copy.

Thanks for your coding effort! Which platform does your app run on: Mac, Windows, Linux? A command-line bash script would be perfect for me.

Sorry to read that you got C&D'd from hosting programs like this in the past; distributing by email is a real hassle!

Hi Peter,
I will shoot it off to you. I myself haven't hosted an epg before, but just hung around one site that was offering the download.
This is a windows executable that is configured via an ini file, and xml settings. (needs .net 4 to run)

Manual is in the zip.

I'm sorry, but this downloaded is specific to Singapore. Its deigned specifically for the Starhub pages here in Singapore.

Good luck finding a scraper.
