QAM and cable question

If I drop my cable TV plan, will I still continue to get the clear QAM channels I get now? I have no need for the other channels.

If you're dropping all their services that would be theft.

Otherwise, unless they place a filter on your line, you should be able to receive those channels.

I would still receive cable internet. I guess the way to see is to cancel and see if QAM goes away. I doubt they would install a hardware filter.

If you do this please let me know if you still get QAM channels. I am looking to do the exact same thing as soon as they require STB for even basic cable.

Without placing filters on your line there's no way for them to stop you from receiving any analog or clear QAM channels. And if they do place a filter on your line it might not happen right away. They might place it as a low priority task and get to it when something else in the area needs worked on.

They'll charge you $40 to come out and put a filter on your line when you cancel.
