Sagetv and QAM cable recording

I'm just wondering if this is possible with Sagetv Beta?
I noticed a couple of products that claim to have hooks into Sagetv product. Does it work well?

Is Sage planning to support this?

It is possible with the AutumnWave:

Ryan from AutumnWave is apparently looking at that other thread you posted in.

Also, Stacy has two tuners running under SageTV, although it's not clear whether both are tuning QAM:

QAM works with On-Air GT from www.autumnwave.com

I've been sucessfuly using this for about three weeks. Thanks to Qian (Donkey) I now have two of them running on the same system and they work just great with unencrypted digital cable.

Stacy,

Thanks for the info. I just asked this question on AVS Forum: are they both in QAM mode? Do you get to assign specific TV stations to these tuners? Do you have any other analog tuners, like the Hauppauge 500?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes they are both in QAM mode. I also have 3 Happauge 250's in the same system.

Assigning an EPG to digital cable is kind of tricky. Take a look at this post: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...5&postcount=18

This should (well, kind of) clear it up.

Clear as mud!

Although if I actually had it front of me I could probably figure it out.

How do you manage the channel changing on it? Do you ahve to use IR? Currently I have 3 6200 stb's and I am using firewire to change the channels.

Now you're over my head with the firewire STB stuff.

I have always used USB-UIRT and Grider with my Happauge 250's for the past three years or so. The On-Air just added without doing anyting

Yeah.... I said the same thing when it was sent to me. And you're right, when you open the file and it's in front of you it will make sense.
