Subtitle UK DVB

Hi All,

Please can you tell me if subtitles are recorded if available from UK digital broadcasts? I am not concerned whether I can play the subtitles in the Sage UI simply if subtitles are recorded.

Currently using:
WinXP
Sage 6.6.2
Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T-500

Usually they are not recorded. There was a time, that for them to be recorded, you had to make sure you record in transport stream format (mmc/encode_digital_tv_as_program_stream=false in sage.properties, you can also do this tuner by tuner if you wish) and put a blank text file name TELETEXT.ENABLE in the "C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV" directory (this will at least allow the recording of the TTX stream, maybe the DVB subs streams also get recorded).

So you'll have to make a recording and verify that the recording contains the streams it should (ProjectX would be a way to check)
