When trying to access some online videos, e.g. MTV Daily News on Placeshifter I get error The video download failed. Error: The requested video wasnt found on the server. There seems to be more feeds not working than workin (e.g. SesameStreet Podcast is workig)

This is happening on two different machines
CentOS 5.4 32b with Sun JRE 1.6.0.11 and latest fully updated Sage
CentOS 5.4 64b with IBM JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 and latest fully updated Sage

Your online video properties files and/or STV are probably out of date. See the stickies about those files in the SageTV Software forum regarding updates.

I have completely updated STV last night so that it is the same on both servers. Saget told me there is no more updates to STV. I checked those stickies, does this "If your online video properties files are out of date, it could take up to 24 hours before a jump to the Main Menu results in downloading the update." means that the online properties may take 24 hours to update after my last STV update?

Why does it throw NPExc and CCExc in this case :-)?

It can take 24 hours from the last online video properties check, whenever that was. See the end of the online prop sticky for comments about simply renaming/deleting the files to force an immediate update.

The log errors for ContentURL_lc are from an accidental variable naming problem that is still in that v6 STV. (Variable names shouldn't use underscores, but once in a while one gets past me due to old programming habits.)

Have you checked the version details on the System Information menu compared to what I posted in the online video sticky? If the version info doesn't match, you aren't yet updated.

And, partial logs don't tell much of the story. If the System Info version matches what I posted in that sticky, then attach a full log.

You've got a lot of stuff going on in the log, including what looks like a complete re-importation of your library files. To save trying to figure out what was going on, what exact video were you trying to play?

If it was only MTV News videos that failed -- it looks like that entire feed doesn't work; they probably changed their feed, so I suggest skipping that feed for now. (I haven't had time to check all feeds lately.)

Comparing my old and new server, it seems that whichever play on the old one play on the new one as well, so it seems like it may be problem with several feeds. I am just being paranoid due to the number of exceptions in the log and since it is the first time I am using the IBM JRE with Sage. Thank you for your help.

Andy, the exceptions in the log are directly related to use of IBM JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9. I was having other issues, e.g. when playing music, the placeshifter would play firt 2 songs and then stop. I have finally switched to Suns JRE 1.6.0.20 and all the exceptions from log disappeared and the music plays fine now. Some online feeds still do not play but as you said that is probably related to the feed moving.
